PRASIS members have an individual policy of insurance as part of their membership. The underwriters are specialists in professional indemnity based in the City of London.

Other Insurers

CFC remains the approved insurer for the PRASIS members scheme and work with the Board to provide a comprehensive and competitive insurance product. However, we recognise that some members might not be eligible to join the scheme or perhaps choose to purchase their indemnity elsewhere whilst also retaining the benefits of being a Prasis member.

For such cases MIC, our appointed insurance broker, will ensure that members are covered by insurers who are financially strong, as rated by the independent rating agencies, such as Standard and Poors, A.M. Best etc.

Jo Clift – UK & International Healthcare Team Leader, CFC underwriting

Jo has a long career spanning 20 years as an underwriter in the healthcare sector and is a technical expert in the field. She has is one of the most experienced underwriters offering cover to individual practitioners in the London Market and also has much experience writing schemes for affinity associations.

Jo leads a team of 8 underwriters, writing a wide variety of healthcare risks both in the UK and internationally, who regularly support brokers and clients at a range of conferences and meetings around the UK.
